Despite being a billionaire, Mikhail Prokhorov only works two hours a day, the rest time he plays boxing, skiing and going to bed around 3am. Like most Russian leading industrialists, the youthful and Internet-savvy Mr. Prokhorov made his fortune in raw materials. While he was running Norilsk Nickel, this company became the world's largest producer of nickel and palladium in the early 1990s. He is currently chairman of Polyus Gold, Russia's largest gold producer, and President of ONEXIM Group which has weathered the crisis well. He owns the NBA's New Jersey Nets basketball team. He was No. 2 in last year's rankings.
